The Fillo's length made it fit snugly inside the hoods of the mummy sacks we used for our tests, and it did not slide around much under our heads at night.

I'd like to say I could put aside time for a project like this, but I'll be starting medical school next week and I don't think it's going to happen. However, when compared against similar pillows, the Fillo Elite does seem to provide support that is ever so slightly more comfortable than its peers.

The Escalante Route is reportedly one of the more difficult, non-technical routes in the Grand Canyon, but it offers a sampling platter for all the Canyon has to offer. Nemo redesigned the classic pillow, using a combination of a baffled air cell, thick luxury foam, a soft, washable jersey cover, and an ergonomic valve.

This occasionally results in my head and pillow moving off the sleeping pad, but is easily fixed with a little push. It seemed that everyone agreed that it was their favorite multi-day river trip in the area, but I was never in the area early enough to catch the spring flows. Fillo Luxury offers a larger size and shock cord lacing on the underside of the pillow to hold a folded up sweatshirt or gear to add loft. Oddly, NEMO includes a sewn-in loop on only one side of the pillow, presumably for hanging the pillow in storage. The cover and the thin insulation layer just add to this and give it more of a pillow feel, and add some warmth against your face.The updated soft cotton jersey cover feels soft against your skin and can easily be removed and washed which is always a plus after long trips away.
