About this deal

Flushing the toilet might not get all the water out of the toilet, if there is still some water left in the tank, try flushing it again. These are a little more difficult as the previous ideas, so you might want to try drawing a few of them on paper before moving to your bowl. I think this takes the painting from something that has simple shading, to something that starts to pop out of the page. Creating abstract patterns on your tableware is a great idea because it doesn’t take much time but breeds fabulous results. For the sink basin, I applied in a circular pattern starting at the top rim and proceeding down to the drain.

You only need a sharpie and a few supplies to beautify your plain ceramic bowls with a fish-scale pattern. You can remove a glossy ceramic surface by lightly sanding it with steel wool or very fine sandpaper.

While this new layer of paint was still wet I started charging-in a more saturated blue color – “charging-in” is a watercolor term used for when you dab paint into a wet wash of color. Pottery painting ideas are numerous, including sharpies, markers, watercolors, acrylic paint, and many more.

Before you refill it with water, you’ll want to give your paint plenty of time to dry, especially if you had to add an epoxy topcoat. You don’t need to draw many intricate details and complicated patterns to gain a beautiful utensil set.Ceramics and pottery might be tens of thousands of years old, but even today artists find new and innovative ways to give a unique spin to their pots, plates, and vases. Just a word of caution, the marker dries immediately, where as, the paint in the pots could be wiped off if you realized you needed to fix it. If you don’t want to try and paint around all of that, you could remove your toilet and paint it outside or in a garage.
