May be I don't understand what is meant by gapless - Gapless playback – “the uninterrupted playback of consecutive audio tracks” but thats what I get from the 4stream app on tidal, there is a short 4-6 second gap between tracks which I would describe as gapless. The A50 DAC is unspecified but 24-bit 192kHz capable, with good file support that includes FLAC, WAV, APE, AAC and MP3.

The fact that there isn’t an optical digital audio input is disappointing, though: the unit is small enough to be tucked behind a flatscreen TV and it would have been an interesting alternative to a soundbar.

For example, in the 4Stream App there is no provision to enable / disable the deep bass function, which is only accessible via the remote control.worked wonders in reviving my vintage Westinghouse radio into a WiFi internet radio with crystal-clear sound. It is functional and it provides everything you need, but it has some roughness around the edges that could be smoothed out to make the experience better.
