I’ve personally used a Gordy’s wrist strap for an extended period of time and can attest to its durability.There are three factors I consider when assessing image quality, resolution, dynamic range and noise. Yes, if you want the best image quality from an APSC sensor, have the ability to crop your images but still print big or simply prefer the 3 way tilt screen and the other enhancements. The new sensor (which also features in the XH2) has a resolution of 7728 x 5152 pixels versus the 26mp XT4. This means you will be able to produce prints, @250dpi, that are 31” along the longest edge without any upscaling. Cramming 40mp into an APSC sized sensor, without compromising image quality, is no mean feat. To put that in context, the XT5’s pixel density on a Full Frame would result in a 90mp sensor and on a GFX it’s almost 160mp. To show it in action, here’s two photos I took with the X-T5 fitted with the XF 35mm f2 lens, which doesn’t have any optical stabilisation of its own. Both shots were taken at ⅙ of a second. On the left is the version with the X-T5’s IBIS disabled and on the right is the version with IBIS enabled, and taking a closer look reveals how effective the stabilisation can be.The battery’s the same NP-W235 intro’d on the X-T4 and also used on the latest X-H bodies, with Fujifilm claiming 740 frames in economy mode or around 90 minutes of video. The Hard Graft Slide wrist strap is a well-made, high-quality option. I consider it one of the best wrist straps available and has a nice aesthetic. I wrote up a small review on this strap you can read about – Hard Graft Slide Camera Strap Review Fujifilm have also further improved the auto-focus algorithm, claiming that the AF system is 3x faster on the X-T5 than on the X-T4, and also with better eye/face detection than the older model.

I also want to say, Fujifilm’s latest official accessories are the best there are from any brand. I have been very impressed with what Fujifilm has been doing lately. However, the autofocus doesn’t see the same improvements. In fact, it seems to perform a bit behind the predecessor. When I bought the XT4, I was willing to sacrifice a little autofocus performance for colors and character, which meant severely cutting the amount of time I spend editing. But, the autofocus on the XT5 may be too much of a sacrifice for photographers in more demanding genres. I was okay with the autofocus system being a bit behind similarly priced cameras from Canon and Sony. But I’m not okay with the autofocus behind the XT4. Since most of the lenses you’ll want to use with the X-T5 to maximise its resolution are unstabilised primes, IBIS is a very important feature.Moving on, the X-T5 inherits the built-in stabilisation of the X-H2 and S, providing it with up to seven stops of compensation with any lens you attach. This is an improvement over the previous X-T4 and it’s great to have it in a lighter and slightly smaller body. Using a camera case or grip on the Fujifilm X-T5 enhances the overall handling and protection of the camera. Camera cases offer a snug fit for the X-T5, providing protection from scratches and impacts. Camera grips provide a larger and more comfortable grip for holding the camera, particularly useful for shooting in challenging conditions or with larger lenses. It also helps to balance the camera and reduces hand fatigue. Using a case or grip on the Fujifilm X-T5 enhances the overall user experience and protects your investment. All my cameras have some form of a grip or protective half-case.
