Genestealers have a long and storied history infesting space hulks, and their legacy continues in Boarding Patrol: Tyranids. A powerful Broodlord leads a cadre of eight Genestealers – dominating close combat specialists in their own right – and six Tyranid Warriors with a variety of organic weapons for range and melee. This scenery for the Astra Militarum was officially revealed (we think – it was at least leaked before that as a kit to be released) on February 12, 2023. This new Strike Force Box includes 5 Heavy Intercessors (already released separately), a 10-man Desolation Squad, a Brutalis Dreadnought and a new Primaris Lieutenant. It was revealed on January 27, 2023. The Tyranids aren’t terribly bothered by the exact state of galactic geopolitics at present – they just like a ready supply of tasty biomass, and a space hulk to ride around in. Their Boarding Patrol contains six adaptable Tyranid Warriors to split into squads of three, eight fast-moving Genestealers , and a fearsome Broodlord to direct them all. This new (big) tank for the Astra Militarum, named after the Primarch of the Imperial Fists, was revealed on October 24, 2022.Ten elite Legionaries, equipped with a wide array of close-combat and ranged weapons, follow his command and are capable of splitting into squads of five to better navigate tight, claustrophobic corridors.

This new core rulebook collects all the latest game modes such as Ash Wastes games, as well as a lot of new rules updates and quality of life improvements, and was revealed on July 12. This one is strange because a lot of the value comes from the Plague Marines, and considering the reinforcements box is so expensive for three minis; it’s hard to say. Updated 40k Boarding Patrol Boxes: What’s the Value?

The only problem? Everyone else wants in on the action, and now the whole galaxy is boarding the Arks of Omen in search of glory, treasure, or just a big punch-up. In fact, four more Boarding Patrol boxes are preparing for launch in the near future – and only one of them might be said to have the Emperor’s best interests at heart… This has a lot of value compared with the Space Marines box. However, you get the majority of it in Cultists and Abaddon, so if you don’t want either, then this is not worth it. This is a great value for those who need both cultists and Abaddon. Next steps for this one? I’d grab the Boarding Patrol box for the Chaos Space Marines and tact in those 630 points right off the bat. That will bring you up to 1375 + wargear. Plus, it will give you some much needed troop support. If you want to go up to a full 2000 point army you’ve got room to work with. Maybe a Land Raider to ferry your units and deliver a payload of Possessed to your enemy’s face? Finally, the Death Guard heed Abaddon’s call, with an obdurate if slimy Boarding Patrol led by a Lord of Virulence. He’s joined by a bodyguard of three Deathshroud Terminators, as well as 10 versatile Plague Marines – three of which are taken from the much-sought-after Plague Marine Reinforcements set. The Adeptus Mechanicus box is a surprisingly high value despite the fact that it’s filled with nothing interesting.
