And why does this author write such horrendous characters? Stacy (very original name for a mean girl) is just mean for the fact of being mean, the girl that Zac is married to is just disrespectful. Like do we hate women? I understand how Verena's career played into the plot, but I just did not like her being a reality show star. Just a designer would have been better. This is my first book by this author, I really do have a bad habit for not reading the previous books in the series when I see it can be read as a standalone - don’t get me wrong that was true with this book too but you also know that the previous couple are now together so they are obviously all going to be interconnected. (This one is the second in the series) Mina has dreamed of being a Broadway star for as long as she can remember, but never did she suspect her debut would involve starring alongside the famous and handsome Zac Delavin-who is also the world's biggest jerk. Despite having a celebrity crush on Zac, Mina can't stand to be around him. But when they sing together, their on-stage chemistry is undeniable, and after leaked rehearsal footage turns viral, the public goes crazy for their relationship, believing they are in love.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Netflix’s surprise hit teen romance, is an unabashedly trope-based movie. It’s not trying to recreate the wheel, to deconstruct old formulas or blow up our expectations. Instead, it executes an old trope, simply and with no frills, and it does so really, really well. That’s what makes the movie great. I received an ARC of this book at no cost and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book was one of my favorite reads the author really has a beautiful way to draw the audience in. This had the best grumpy meets sunshine story, Most news outlets make their money through advertising or subscriptions. But when it comes to what we’re trying to do at Vox, there are a couple reasons that we can't rely only on ads and subscriptions to keep the lights on.The whole book just seems so rushed. They fell in love way too fast, I don't know if it's the writing but the whole thing seems like it happened all in one week. The writing was also just meh, I've read worse but I've also read way better. I mean at least the spice is good?💀 I know for sure that it could've been way better which is why I'll probably give her books another chance (if she has other books, I'm honestly not sure). The book was a little too fast paced for my liking but that was expected after the last book. Overall the book was cute and had good spice scenes.

I don't know, maybe it's me but maybe this book just needs more changing but I just didn't like the book. girl what the hell 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 the pace of this book threw me off & honestly the whole divorce factor would have worked much better if it was a year long relationship. no one moves on that fast from 13 years bruh. i felt like the bubbly personality was a little reinforced at times & icl the whole book could have gone without connor, the roommate sort of romance & hannah. there were a lot of factors that made the book more confusing if anything bcs they just didn’t line up or match the general vibe of the book; what is it w romcom writers and gangs ?1?2?4??2! they always start off so sweet & lovey dovey then BAM‼️ a gang, the mafia, or a stalker decides to show up. there are ways to create a rift between the mc’s without creating plot points THAT MAKE NO SENSE 🗣️🗣️ ngl i saw a insta reel abt this book & finished it in literally less than an hour. it wasn’t a waste of time bcs it all goes to my end or year goal for 150

Then Adrian and verena finally sort of got together with the whole fake dating and then Darius appears. And verena finds it a good idea to let Adrian think that she sleeps with Darius, which she doesn’t. And then she is wondering why Adrian has the GODDAMN NERVE to say that he has lunch with his ex, but verena is just so conveniently forgetting that she is rubbing Darius in his face, like wtf was Adrian supposed to do when nobody tells him that it isn’t true. And miss verena is then mad at Adrian for not telling her his feelings. Like girl why you sending mixed signals. Jake - A but farfetched for Verena's ex-boyfriend to be at this wedding. He just happens to he dating a friend of her future SIL that lives in Alaska when he lives in NY? I don't buy it. Without over analyzing this book was a great read that kept your attention the whole way through and had a great HEA. The writer did do a good bait and switch to really make you believe the two characters hated each other in high school.

i’m so happy i came across this book on tiktok. the smut did not disappoint! zac has a filthy mouth and i fear i won’t shut up about it. its definitely a good read!

Fake Dating Adrien Hunter was an entertaining read :) Skyla Summers added an interesting little twist to the conventional fake dating trope. I'll quote a passage of the book that sums it up pretty well "There’s some serious next-level scheming and double-crossing going down". Fake dating is the have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too of romantic tropes. It grants audiences all the satisfaction of seeing the central couple in an established, domestic relationship, but it doesn’t deflate the will they/won’t they tension because you are always waiting for the two fake lovers to realize that they’re actually really in love. It’s a trope that lends itself equally well to both fluff and angst. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I found the beginning didn’t flow as well as I would have liked, it felt a little disconnected and hard to follow. I also found that I absolutely hated Adrian for what he did to her in high school and she forgave him to easily as well as them both having a bit of a toxic outlook on making each other jealous instead of actually communicating with each other. In contrast, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before has both Lara Jean and Peter enter their fake relationship with their eyes open. They sign a contract in which they make their expectations toward one another clear, and they make honesty and transparency a requirement of the contract. With any trope so old and so well-known, the temptation to wink at it and subvert it is always present. But To All the Boys leaned into its fake dating premise with utter and relentless sincerity. In doing so, it created a kind of road map for how to get the most out of old romantic tropes without sliding into the trap of easy cynicism. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before knows exactly what makes fake dating an appealing trope
