About this deal

As you mentioned, the washes are in the next set. I thought about buying them, and wanted to do some research. but i could not find *ANYTHING* about them. No post on subreddits, nor on the old school mini painting forums, no blog articles or youtube videos. nothing. so i guess i’ll let myself be surprised… More washes. I want to retain a pale look, so I washed the flesh bits with a 50/50 mix of Agrax Earthshade and Druchii Violet, then I did a couple thin coats of Druchii Violet around the eyes and a ring of Nuln Oil to give the eyes a smoky, shadowy look on her face. Once the models are all grey scale, I gave them several very thin coats of Vallejo Game Air Gory Red The bones paints and old MSP HD paints are the same things. Whilst the Bones range doesn’t include every paint from the HD range, those old HD paints are steadily transitioning into the Bones line-up. This special Dungeon Dwellers: Dungeon Colors paint set includes six all-new half-ounce (.5oz) bottles or Reaper Master Series Bones Paints. These high-coverage paints work perfectly on metal, resin, or plastic models. Perfect for beginning and advanced painters.

Optional) Sponge Chipping: Weather the cars by dabbing a torn piece of foam in a dark grey, like Eshin Grey or Skavenblight Dinge, then dabbing this against the model (do this before you paint the lights). If you wanted to buy every Reaper paint they make (which I now do), There’s no easy way to figure out what sets and then what individual paints you need to buy. For the sword I go with a bone look – Rakarth flesh washed with Agrax – and I paint the tubing Moot Green.I’m not sure why these are referred to as “clear”. When applied, enough coats will give an opaque layer. They are very thin and act like dense inks. Clear Red

TROLL HIDE: This is a fantastic dark olive green with a strong yellow tone to it. It is great for not only trolls but also lizardmen, jungle foliage, and camouflage patterns. And finally a small selection of technical paints. I never used the primer but the flow improver and sealer are both pretty good. http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?s=c770bc029dd218be5d17fff14fecefeb&showtopic=17678&st=0&p=266494&#entry266494 Glazing is when you use extremely thin paint to highlight a surface over a few thin coats. The idea is that using a paint medium like Lhamian Medium (or water), you can get a paint thin enough that the color underneath the layer will still come through, and you can gradually build up these very thin glaze layers to make a smooth highlight. If you look at some paint I put on my thumb here, you can see that the color of my fingernail still comes through the paint. The thinner the paint, the more the color underneath will come through and the more layers you will need to build up to the true color. This glaze here is pretty heavy for a glaze layer, but it will still do exactly what I want it to do here. Basecoat the white areas with Ulthuan Grey. Again, you want this super smooth, so use nice thin layers.

I need to wonder why more people aren’t using these paints! They’re pretty cheap when you look at the price per bottle, cheaper still if you buy the sets.
