About this deal

For example, if you go in a VIP server and wait 4 hours without someone collecting all Chests, One random 4 hour old chest will have the God's Chalice. Percy hopes that he doesn't have a Frodo moment where he gets to the threshold of Mount Brunch with his magic item and then, instead of handing it over, becomes visible, yells "haha! The cup is mine!" and drinks the immortality-flavored Kool-Aid. Trolls upset by the casting rallied to have the 12-year-old's TikTok account banned, prompting Riordan to defend her casting. "If you have a problem with this casting, take it up with me," he said. "You have no one else to blame. The novel is set between The Heroes of Olympus and The Trials of Apollo, during Percy’s senior year.

One criticism the movie adaptations received is how the main trio was aged up for the screen. The new adaptation will remain true to the character’s ages in the books, with a younger trio cast. Heroes of Olympus was a great set of five books, a great way to introduce new characters and tell the story of the second great prophecy, taking place just a few months after the first great prophecy. By the end of The Blood of Olympus, we had had 10 full-length novels (and several short stories) expanding the world. Despite being a minor god, Ganymede appears to be unaffected as well, but Percy had also intentionally revealed his presence to the god, possibly negating the cap's effects despite Percy still wearing it. This means Mount Olympus is virtually unguarded, so Percy and an army of young demigods must stop the Lord of Time. All the while, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy’s sixteenth birthday unfolds. It is not recommended to get the God's Chalice from a public server as someone else might already have gotten it, and if you do, there's a high chance a bounty hunter might kill you, but if you end up with a Chalice, then wait in the Safe Zone until all Aura Colors are inserted.

Percy doesn't need anyone else to point that out for him, he knew it when the Gods gifted him immortality and he said no. But this book was a nice reminder that no matter what he does in his life, no matter how many monsters he must fight, the goal will always be to keep going with Annabeth and Grover. How sweet is that? Let's not forget that the reason Percy wants to get into New Rome University is because he loves Annabeth and wants to go to college with her. This man is willing to be trolled by the gods over and over just to be with her. (No wonder middle school me made such high standards.) This part had me actually screaming: Chalice is meant to be a standalone for now. It was originally one of three ideas I had for Percy’s senior year adventures, so it’s possible I could write the other two at some point in the future. That really depends on what my schedule ends up looking like in the next few years. As you probably know, the film and TV adaptations have been consuming a great deal of my time over the last two years.Aristaeus' starts out nice before he turns hostile after having learned that Percy is going around asking everyone for help, including Delphin. The half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans all year, even though they know their chances of victory are grim. Meanwhile, the Olympians are struggling to contain the monster Typhon and Kronos has begun to advance on New York City.

The stakes are not high at all in this book but the fun is still there. There is no imminent danger to the world but maybe to Percy's college applications there is. We see the OG trio unite and it's like they were never apart. Grover, Annabeth and Percy make anything fun. Some of the things they mentioned were clearly meant for nostalgic purposes (I wish they would've included the dam joke). We haven’t nailed down any details, but probably, yes. As I said, the book is meant to be a ‘thank you’ to fans and a celebration of the TV series, so we are timing Chalice to come out shortly before the series airs. (But again, exactly when the series airs has not been determined yet. Stay tuned for that.) When I know more details, I will post them here on my blog! First up: the cupbearer of the gods, Ganymede, is missing his golden chalice. Not only is this embarrassing (why do the gods keep losing their magical items?), it's also potentially disastrous. One sip from the cup will turn any mortal into a powerful god. And the old gods do not take kindly to newbies. And I loved all the little nods to the past events - very simple, very distinctive, but very much of import to Percy's current journey. I appreciated that the Greek gods included this time around were of limited capacity, but even the trip to Zeus was fabulously done! Each of their adventures were written with great zeal and I really did have a smile on my face as they made their way through the tough waters to get to the ultimate prize. 🏆🏆 And while it is targeted for younger audiences, there is something very nostalgic to this installment. You'll see it with each self-reflection that Percy is enlightened with - that moment that deeply resonates with what is his purpose in life - other than the debt he owes for existing - for being a child of one of the Big Three.' 😔
