About this deal

Resets to factory defaults. The UniFi Gateway should be running after bootup is complete. Press and hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds until the right LED on the WAN2 port starts flashing and then becomes solidly lit. After a few seconds, the LED will turn off, and the UniFi Gateway will automatically reboot. Enterprise models have higher PoE budgets, faster interfaces such as 2.5 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet, and the features available in the Pro models we complemented our aggregator Unifi Switch 24 with a 16 POE-150W switch so that we can support current and future PoE devices like the Cloud Key Gen 2, Ubiquiti Unifi WiFi APs, and Ubiquiti Unifi Protect video cameras

The main way to differentiate UniFi switches is that the 1st generation model names begin with "US-" and the 2nd generation model names begin with "USW-". See UniFi Switches Comparison and Buyers Guide to compare all available models. New Desktop/Small Switches

Find the appropriate section with the custom changes in the config output, for our example above it would be the following:

Gigabit routing is no issue, but firewall and encryption speeds are limited, with slightly higher limits than the USG. Only time will tell how the development goes for the UXG-Pro. If you have an existing UniFi network with your own controller, this is probably going to be a better fit that the UDM or UDM-Pro. The unannounced base UXG should be a good little router, if Ubiquiti can get the software right. We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

QoS for Enterprise VoIP and video

I was very limited on tools and time, but from what I remember I ended up using a nearby dumb switch, nuking the static IP on the Pi controller, rebooting it, and resetting the USG. (Keeping it completely on it's own network using the dumb switch.) I also made sure the USG was forgotten from the controller. I remember something similar a while ago when trying to adopt a USG into an existing network using a statically assigned IP raspberry pi as controller.. I changed subnets around and tried to mess with it a bunch of different ways. It DID NOT want to be adopted. This article is not applicable to the UniFi Dream Machine models, because all configurations are already available in the UniFi Network user interface. This underlying OS difference causes some other differences. The UDM and UXG lines do not support editing the config.gateway.json file. By editing the configuration file manually, you were able to access features that Ubiquiti doesn’t put in the controller GUI. It also let you access hidden settings, and tweak features to work how you want. Normally, behind the scenes, the UniFi controller edits your configuration files for you. That only works with the features that Ubiquiti officially supports. If you’ve ever had to deploy a UniFi network, you know there are a many features not in the GUI. Unfortunately there is nothing like this going forward, and you are limited to what Ubiquiti shows in the controller.

Hardware offloading lets you use dedicated hardware to accelerate some tasks. You can turn it on or off depending on what you are trying to do. This applies to the USG/USG-Pro, and also EdgeRouters. the best way to fix this issue is by swapping the two OEM fans for Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM Premium-Quality Quiet 40mm fans, as shown in this video, here. We recommend that you protect your networks from harmful outdoor environments and destructive ESD events with industrial-grade, shielded Ethernet cable from Ubiquiti. First observations - configuration of Ubiquiti USG-PRO-4

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways: In the interim, I would suggest that Ubiquiti use the Cloud Key Plus 2 to calculate speed tests, rather than the running the test on the USG. Enabling DPI or QOS may further impact throughput. In our experience, with DPI enabled on the USG, we saw only 60-70Mbps symmetrical throughput even though we have a gigabit Internet WAN connection. And, as noted above, we couldn’t run an accurate speed test from the USG. One potential problem with the UXG-Pro is the current state of the UDM-Pro and UniFi OS. Some features on the UDM-Pro are not working, incomplete, buggy, or just missing. Development for the Dream Machines has been steady, but after 9 months, the UXG is still on on beta firmware version 0.5.0.
