About this deal

First thing I noticed upon opening, is that it doesn't smell amazing, but it doesn't smell awful either. It's just a bit chemically rather than fragranced or fragrance free. Another important factor Dr. Zeichner says to keep in mind is the pH of the product itself. “The lower the pH, the more potent of an effect it will have on the skin in terms of exfoliation,” he says. “At the same time, the lower the pH, the harsher the effect will be on the skin.” Acid toners with a pH of around 2 are generally quite effective, and it’s important to note that they won’t be very effective at a pH above 4. For my skin, it lives up to being mattifying without being too drying. I enjoy using it over my serums when my skin is feeling a bit oily. It contains 5% glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid that helps dissolve the glue between old skin cells, making it easier for them to fall off and reveal newer, healthier layers of your skin. A few nights a week, I use it in place of my regular toner, and it leaves my skin softer, smoother with improved skin texture.

Revolution Skincare Niacinamide Mattifying Moisture Cream is a moisturizer formulated to balance sebum production, reduce the look of pores, and redness and moisturize the skin. Revolution Skincare 12.5% Vitamin C Serum is formulated with a high 12% concentration of vitamin C in the form of pure ascorbic acid to improve skin texture and radiance and fight the visible signs of aging. Sodium ascorbyl phosphate provides similar benefits as pure vitamin C. It offers antioxidant protection, improves collagen synthesis, and helps brighten the skin. A 1% concentration of Zinc PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylicacid) helps regulate oil production and can even help improve collagen production.Interrupts melanin (pigment) production in our skin which helps to fade the look of hyperpigmentation and dark spots.

I love all of the actives in this eye cream, especially the vitamin C derivative and niacinamide. The eye cream is creamy and non-greasy and has the feel of a luxury eye cream. The Revolution Skincare Glycolic Acid Glow Polisher is a medium level manual exfoliator, which also contains AHA, so you get the best of both worlds. I’ve talked quite a bit about my views on manual exfoliators recently as I don’t think they’re absolutely essential if you have access to good acids, but at the same time, there is something about that incredibly smooth and buffed feeling skin gets after using one, so my advice with any kind of manual exfoliator is, if you have to use it, use it carefully (no aggressive scrubbing!) and not too often. Revolution Skincare Multi Targeting & Firming Multi Peptide Serum contains Matrixyl synthe’6 and Matrixyl 3000 like Revolution Skincare’s 10% Matrixyl serum PLUS the peptide Syn-Ake. I will discuss my experience with an exfoliating toner, serums, eye cream, and moisturizers in this Revolution Skincare review. About Revolution BeautyRevolution Beauty is the parent company of Revolution Skincare. Founded in 2013, Revolution Beauty is well known for its makeup products under the Makeup Revolution line. That being said, those with sensitive skin would be better off with ascorbic acid concentrations at under 10%. Since I have somewhat sensitive skin, glycolic acid products tend to irritate my skin. I’m happy to say that I can tolerate this 5% concentration. This serum really agrees with my skin and seems to be a perfect concentration that is strong enough but does not irritate my skin.
