Flynn is of 6'1" height and build with fair skin, short dark brown hair, a scruffy goatee, and light brown eyes. The absence of Rapunzel's former handmaiden Cassandra, as well as the redemption of the Stabbingtons is revealed throughout the final season of the series. However, the nonappearances of many characters during the wedding, such as Varian, Lance, King Edmund and the Brotherhood, Angry, Red, Willow, and many others in this short goes unexplained. Mother Gothel hears of how the ‘one with the power of the moon’ can enhance the ‘power of the sun’ and kidnaps young Prince Horace, raising him far away in Corona, in a Tower, hidden away, naming him Eugene to ‘protect’ him from his true identity. Pascal is now living in the Castle of Corona with his longtime best friend and her boyfriend, Eugene. He later creates an illusion of Rapunzel to keep Eugene from finding out that she had gone out the walls of Corona. Unlike the original Tangled film, which was rated PG by the MPAA, this short film is rated G by the MPAA, as most Disney animated short films have that rating in the United States.Over time, Flynn earned Pascal's affections when he started to care for and fall in love with Rapunzel. Flynn also comes treat Pascal as a good companion as shown when he gently puts Pascal on a boat so he can join him and Rapunzel to see the lanterns. Pascal even started to support Flynn and Rapunzel's budding relationship. After Mother Gothel's death and Rapunzel reuniting with her family, Pascal continued to support Flynn and Rapunzel's romance. Pascal slips and falls to the earth and the ring ends up in the talons of a dove. The wayward carriage hits the sidewalk and sends Maximus hurtling in the air where he lands on Rapunzel's and Eugene's banner. Maximus slips off the banner, tearing it down the middle and defacing poor Eugene's nose even further. Maximus lands on an enormous pyramid of wine barrels busting them all open, unleashing a flood throughout the kingdom streets. As Pascal lands in the street in the path of a torrent of wine, Maximus scoops him up and sprints off to escape from the flood. Heading outside the tunnel, the Rapunzel and Flynn find themselves on a ledge overlooking a quarry created below a massive dam. Rapunzel is very surprised to find that besides the palace guards, the Stabbington twins are also giving chase, having escaped their chains, and the horse, Maximus, is also on their path. Appearing to be cornered, Rapunzel uses her hair to swing to an opposing edge and leaves Flynn her frying pan, enabling him to fend off the guards and sword fight with Maximus. As Maximus disarms Flynn and corners him, Rapunzel lassos him with her hair and pulls him to safety. Unable to reach him, the furious horse unhinges a large wooden beam from the dam in an attempt to reach them but renders the dam overlooking the quarry unstable.
Soon after, Mother Gothel finally arrives at the base of the tower and calls for Rapunzel to let down her long hair. Rapunzel complies and uses her hair and a lantern holder as a rope and pulley to bring Gothel to the window. Gothel then insensitively teases Rapunzel for her slowness and decreases her confidence in front of a mirror, before saying she loves her, as usual, and asking her to sing the incantation to her hair. Instinctively, Rapunzel pulls up a chair and sings the incantation hurriedly, causing Gothel to become younger almost instantly. With her eighteenth birthday arriving, Rapunzel has gained the courage to ask Mother Gothel if she can see the floating lanterns because she believes they are somehow connected to her and does so. Gothel spurns her request, however, informing Rapunzel through song that the world is much too dangerous for someone as naive and gullible as her and that she wants to keep Rapunzel safe. She proceeds to warn and frighten her of men with sharp teeth, ruffians, poison ivy, snakes, cannibals, and even the plague and harshly request that she never ask her to leave the tower again. Her previous courage shattered, Rapunzel solemnly promises not to ask to leave the tower again and helps Gothel depart from the tower. [1] Meeting a person On the Tangled blu-ray release, Maximus appears in the short "Crashimus Maximus", as part of the Flynn's Tangled Tales series. Caine is searching both for Cassandra and any information to help further understand what's the deal with all these celestial powers, but working with the Brotherhood and their king may be pushing her patience a bit far. Series After one week of the trip, they reach out to Vardaros. There, Eugene tries to propose to Rapunzel for second time, but she is hesitant to marry him at first. While discussing Eugene's proposal with Cassandra, a mysterious warrior named Adira appears at the camp, wishing to speak to Rapunzel alone. Cassandra, however, does not trust her, and a fight begins between the three, which Adira easily wins, and before leaving she tells Rapunzel that she will look for her later. Hook Foot informs Rapunzel and Cassandra that Eugene, Lance, and Shorty were captured by the Varon. Upon being brought before the Baron, Eugene is reunited with the Baron's daughter, Stalyan, who is also his ex-fiancée, and the Varon forces Eugene to keep the promise he made to his daughter and marry her or else suffer painful consequences along with Lance and Shorty, and Eugene reluctantly agrees after Lance is bitten by a poisonous spider. Eugene tries to convince Stalyan to call off the wedding and tells him that he is in love with someone else, only to realize that Stalyan knows all about his affair with Rapunzel, and she manipulates him by telling him that if he marries her, all it will do is take away his newfound freedom.In Tangled: The Series, although King Frederic and Queen Arianna are grateful for Eugene's actions of rescuing Rapunzel, the royals are still adjusting to having the reformed thief living within the castle and his romantic relationship with their daughter, particularly King Frederic.
