To summarize, New Beginnings on Railway Lane is a cute, sweet, and light-hearted romance with strong supporting characters and a charming setting. This works great as a standalone but will be more enjoyable if you read book one. I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I was able to find the audio version through my local library. To the front of the property is a small walled garden with path leading to front door and driveway to the side providing off road parking for multiple vehicles and leading to metal garage. Side gated access leads to the rear garden which is enclosed with timber fence and mature hedging. There is a hardstanding seating area for entertaining.And not just for her, the changes in all the Connelly men as the story progresses is rather impressive, and is definitely all down to Katy's magic touch in whatever she turns her hand to. She has fabulous ideas for the old Railway station, and seems determined to help the family make sure it won't be sold. Soon Katy starts making new friends and as feelings between Katy and Ryan develop, Ryan realizes he may have to find a way to talk her into extending her stay.
In a last ditch effort, Bob's son Ethan places an advert online to find someone to sort through his father's belongings, then leaves town and hands the responsibility to his brother Ryan, a successful chef in Italy. He never expects for the advert to be successful; but then he meets Katy. A manager for 5 star hotels who was recently made redundant, she's reluctant to consider a job outside of London. However after meeting Bob and realising the extent of the issue, she agrees to stay for a week and do what she can.When Katy arrives at Cranfield, she learns from Ryan that his brother had posted the job ad as a sort-of joke. Nonetheless, she accepts to stay for a week to help clear the station.
