When trying to develop an antidote for the venom of a Sporix, Ollie dismissed Amelia's warning about the boiling pool water. This caused Solon to become a tree and Ollie realized that what Floyd said was true. Later, when Amelia suggested using her bracelet to lower the iron content, Ollie decided to swallow his pride and used it. Ollie later apologized to Floyd for his attitude when he was a student, and how he intends to listen to others with a more open mind. He gave Amelia a heartfelt apology for all the times he belittled her beliefs in the supernatural. However, his actions caused their connection to Morphin Grid to be severed, and thus had his secret identity exposed to his mom. After the team defeated Void Knight, Ollie reunites with his mom. He and the other Rangers would later have their powers and connection to the Grid restored by the Green Morphin Master, before morphing with the team to deal with a Sporix Beast.

They followed Void Knight break into a mysterious underground base and Void Knight confronted Solon and a recently reawakened Red Ranger Zayto. After the Void Knight threatened Solon, Ollie intervened with a Chromafury Saber and Amelia shot him. Amelia and Ollie were overwhelmed and cornered until the Sabers equipped them with the Dino Fury Morphers. The trio defeated the Hengemen and forced the Void Knight to flee. Zayto then revealed the history of the Dino Fury Rangers and both Amelia and Ollie agreed to become permanent Power Rangers. His refusal to listen to Zayto leads to him putting his own mother in danger. Fortunately, he realizes the importance of teamwork. During a camping trip, he shows off high-tech gear that the rest of the team regards as useless. Nonetheless, he tries to fashion an arrow from the devices to bring down Void Knight's balloon when it jams all communications in town, including the Rangers' teleportation. Despite an initial failure, he succeeds in destroying the balloon with a crossbow. Zayto and Solon have an unnamed Subspace Transmitter in the base, which they can use to communicate great distances into space as well as receive messages. This requires a special modulator made of a special crystal from Rafkon. When the modulator was damaged, a shard of the crystal Zayto's mom gifted him as a pendant was used as a replacement.
