Having opinions on how someone else brings through the Divine is often a sign that you can add a unique contribution to the industry by adding a new dimension or twist on the work. Clairvoyance is the ability to “see” the Spirit World, images they present, and psychic visions. Some people will also refer to themselves as “a clairvoyant,” meaning that they can see this way.You may experience clairvoyance and dismiss it as your imagination since images will appear in the same space as your imagination. Spirits will come when invited. They honor your space, and they don’t just drop in without permission. You may want to request they show you a symbol or sign when they are ready to come through. This will give you a clear indication that you have been heard, and the spirit is ready to respond. Be Open

What is a medium?

Clairtangency is another word for psychometry. Psychometry is The act of or ability to perceive information from a place or object. I often use photographs when teaching psychometry. Psychometry gives us another way of knowing. The word derives from the Greek word “psyche” meaning soul and “metro” meaning to measure and refers to the psychic ability to read or sense energy from an object. One of the most common questions we get asked at The College of Psychic Studies is: 'How do I become a psychic medium?' We relish this question because the answer is simple: If you're asking, it indicates that you are a psychic medium waiting to happen.You may just need to work on developing your innate skills. 'Innate' is the operative word here because we ALL have the potential to develop our psychic and mediumistic gifts.

In the meantime, we will be doing another online mediumship workshop: Comparing Mediumship to playing the piano is the easiest way to describe the process. Some people have an ear for music at a very young age and the piano comes effortlessly to them. Others grow up without any musical talent, but there is a moment in life where they are drawn to learn how to play the piano. They sign up for a class and find a teacher to help them with the proper techniques to learn how to play. Consistent practice helps them develop their skill for playing the piano.If any of these signs resonate with you, you may be ready to develop your mediumship abilities in a training program or class. Years after having a near death experience and struggling to suppress my connection to the Spirit World, I decided to develop my mediumship abilities. I began practicing in a local mediumship practice group and rented a small office space where I began offering free readings. I went to study mediumship at The Arthur Findlay College in the UK and I felt an overwhelming sense of homecoming to myself returning to Boston with more confidence in my abilities and understanding of who I was and what I must do. When I began to honor who I was and what I was experiencing, my life began to change in amazing ways.

A mediumship reading may take place in a group or private setting. In a group setting you will hear others receive messages from their loved ones and possibly receive a message yourself. The information revealed by the Medium will never be too private or personal. This is also a chance to see how a Medium works before investing in your own private session. There will be a replay of the teaching portion of the class sent to all registrants of this workshop. Many mediums, including myself, offer online intuitive development classes and ongoing training. For example, I have The Membership which features ongoing training to enhance your development and do it within your comfort level. They make a lot of miracle cure promises for a price. A psychic or mediumship session should be a healing experience and help you to feel more free and move forward on your spiritual journey, but sessions are never a fix-all or cure-all.As a clear channel to Spirit, ensuring that the channel housing is as pure as possible always improves a connection. Taking care of your physical body, the base-camp for your Spirit, will improve your spiritual body's working conditions. You have a Spirit whose entire job is keeping up the red carpet ropes outside of your energy field entrance. It’s natural to doubt yourself and your abilities. Because we are conditioned through society to value facts over feelings, we often dismiss our instincts and intuition. Learning to start trusting your feelings may take work and practice, but self-trust is necessary to develop Mediumship. To tap into psychometry, ask a friend to have you hold an object of theirs (an heirloom or something that belonged to someone they know will work best). Pay attention to what you notice as you hold the object and tune into the energy it holds. If you have trouble getting started it can help to pretend you are “making up a story” about the object. Then, ask your friend if they can validate any of the information you've shared, you might be amazed at what you can learn! You can also practice this exercise with a photograph with a friend, ask for a photograph to practice reading and tuning into energy. Make sure it’s a photograph of someone that they know enough to help you validate your impressions.
