About this deal

Joe clearly subscribes to the Jamie Oliver school of getting your children involved in cooking from an early age and this is to be applauded. Joe says: "I’m super excited that this book encourages people to socialise with their loved ones whilst staying lean. We facepalmed when we thought how long we’d had a food processor but hadn’t thought to whizz up prawns, spring onions, coriander and Thai red chilli paste to make next-level patties. Slice off the top of a roll, hollow it out, spread some pesto in there, layer in some ham, crack an egg in it and pop it in the oven.

But although Wicks’s workouts have been in the spotlight the past few months, it’s the Lean In 15 recipes he posts on Instagram and his best-selling series of recipe books of the same name that built his success. It's got some delicious recipes which I am excited to try but it definitely loses points on being accessible and on being a cookbook I'll refer to frequently. This book has been particularly useful for upgrading my staple recipes and adding an extra punch of nutrition that I wouldn’t have thought of.Every recipe is labelled as either reduced-carb or carb-refuel - this makes the book a brilliant addition for those already familiar with Joe's eating structure (carbs following workouts or on active days), but the meals are also enjoyable and tasty for all, whether you are following Joe's plan or not. I would say there's quite a few ingredients that might be unaffordable if you have to cook on a real shoestring, but if you're comfortably off and you're up for introducing your kids to a good variety of things/not getting stuck in a rut, this seems a really good book to me. I’m loving this recipe book so many clever ideas in here I’ve not used beetroot much in my cooking and there is so many meals in his book that contain it so it must be be good.

About as easy and tasty a breakfast as you’ll find, with a scoop of whey powder thrown into the mix to boost the protein content and keep you full until lunch – or elevenses if you like to work out first thing. I also liked that it says how many portions the recipe has (including children's portions) I also loved the fact that it says whether or not you can freeze the recipes. Tasty and ready within 15 minutes, this cheesy carbonara packed with nutritious broccoli is super easy to make and sure to become a firm family favourite in your household. Also Bung it in the Oven implies to me just one pan in the oven: nope, often there are more pans or you cook rice on the stove, so it fails on this front in my eyes. He is a fitness phenomenon who has inspired many and did his part during lockdown to get us up and moving when we had to stay at home.Get the energy to exercise with these easy flapjacks, which contain a tasty mix of nuts, seeds, oats and fruit, as well as peanut butter and honey.

yes some of the recipes are slightly out there and not what I would normally cook, but there are also many recipes which I will be trying out and I look forward to doing so. The chopped up broccoli wasn't softening being stir fried, by which point I'd added the red onion; I splashed in a bit of water, put a lid on and steamed it for a couple of minutes.Registered office address: Unit 34 Vulcan House Business Centre, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EF. I have one previous well-used, caked in food Joe Wicks book in my kitchen, and we generally cook one of the recipes from it once a week. Thanks to his PE With Joe series keeping the nation moving during lockdown he’s more popular than ever.
