I loved this book so much, I'm tempted to read it all over again to catch all the little things I must have missed this first time around. Shawn Warner was at an empty book signing for Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor when a Fort Worth TikToker took notice. The story is fast paced and moves from scene to scene, no long narration where nothing is happening.

To my disappointment, the ghosts total interactions could probably fit three, maybe four pages total! I believe a lot of the reviews are biased based on the traction of tiktok, news and Shawn’s own personal story. Warner was there to promote his debut novel, Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor, but, as Swearenjin describes, he seemed “super defeated” from the lack of interest in his display.

It’s more young adult in nature, the premise is interesting, as is the ghost aspect , and I think Leigh embodies the teenagers essence, selfish, unreasonable and almost childish when there’s something they want.
