About this deal

You should get four bags with George and they are large and built to last, so you shouldn’t need to replace them very often. George is a wet and dry vacuum cleaner, so can do everything that a Henry can do in terms of sucking up dust and dirt. While Henry usually grabs the limelight when it comes to Numatic’s range of cylinder vacuum cleaners, it’s a little unfair on his green younger brother, George.

g. 1600W), the more powerful the suction – and this applies especially to cylinder vacuum cleaners where the dust has further to travel. There’s the usual floor attachment and crevice tool for getting into awkward crumb collection spots, but there’s also a smaller upholstery tool that’s the right size for accessing car seats and cleaning them effectively.

The only vacuums we’ve recently tested with more powerful suction are Dysons and Sharks, but the advantage George has over the suction in these cordless sticks is that it can keep this level of suction going all day, whereas a cordless on max power will use up its battery charge in about 10 minutes. There is also a mesh filter which does a great job of preventing unwanted dirt from entering the tank. The moral of the story here is that you shouldn’t accept anything less than a proper, marked, distinguished HEPA filter if you have allergies. Whether you want to deep-clean the carpet, suck-up a spill, unblock the sink, freshen-up the furniture or clean-up crumbs, George is your man. Due to his capacity, it has to be said that George is fairly heavy, but thanks to his wheels he takes some of the weight when you’re moving him around.

When it comes using the George GVE370 for dry vacuuming you have big filters, use of HepaFlo dust bags, and you have a superb combination floor nozzle. When it comes to dry vacuuming you have big filters, use of Hepaflo dust bags, and you have a superb combination floor nozzle.

What was particularly impressive was that the carpet, while damp for a few hours afterwards, dried reasonably quickly, within 12 hours of washing. George’s huge cleaning capacity, extra-long cable, convenient carry handle and pro toolkit make the hardest work easy. Can be used for vacuuming carpets as well as other household applications, such as deep-cleaning carpets, unblocking sinks and showers, cleaning up spills, household leaks and pet accidents.

For a more affordable option, perhaps because you’ve already got a functioning vacuum cleaner, there’s the Bissell PowerClean. Unlike many mop and steam cleaners which don’t separate clean and dirty water, George has a clean water tank complete with detergent but then sucks up the water from the floor into a dirty water tank, leaving the floors clean and also dry. Commercial” refers to the grade of device and means that it is of a quality suited for use in commerce. The George design is in itself based entirely on our Cleantec professional range of machines; designed to work extensively and for long hours and functioning to a professional standard. The more the better, not only for the deepness of the clean, but also because I found that squashing down on the carpet helped squeeze out some of the water I was laying down.Great at sucking up spills and spillages but also a great cleaner in general, George’s powerful suction makes cleaning wet surfaces a quick and easy job. Vacuum cleaners can be upright (with handle and bag directly attached to cleaning head) or canister (vacuum head is attached by flexible hose). The liquified banana residue on an office chair came up with no fuss, as did stains left by a cat and a small child on a carpet. Better than this, you can even then shampoo the last of the dirt out of the carpet to make sure your home is fresh and clean.
