The ShimVerb Pro also lets you save one setting as a preset, so you can save that perfect tone without worrying about the knobs. Reducing the pickup volume to bare minimum solves the problem but then you got to pre amp the sound and get all the digital circuit noise which is not that low. I purchased this reverb unit and it does work reasonably well as a spring reverb and also the room effect works reasonably well. The room and spring reverbs are un-muddly and clear as a bell with the level / color and depth control providing plenty of range.

I crank up decay to 3/4 and switch to shimmer, but I leave volume low, not to lose my guitar tone so much, and then it gives me the kind of background, like pianos and electro. The series comprises about 40 pedals that include effects such as modulation, equalizing, distortion and reverb.

I wasn't bothered about this so much when I was looking into this pedal, but I was really pleased with it. You'll end up replacing the Behringer in time anyway (the 'swoosh' sound they make will drive you mad if nothing else), so just do yourself a favour and head this way instead. That said, the adjustable intervals are inspirational, while dropping the wet signal and cutting the highs keeps things from getting cheesy.
