About this deal

These meters constantly respond to ambient sound, so they're always on even if the main power switch is off.

Cassette assembly still attached to the front of the unit The gain seems to have been turned up probably as test recording to a standard Maxxell cassette yielded in a strong signal on the tape.Ample in size and ample in sound, the two 40-watt speakers means that you can turn up the volume and add plenty of bass, should you wish to have even more you can also add external speakers.

There are various switches on either side with the tape in the middle and tuner on top, the whole look is very Lasonic 920 (no bad thing). HUGE SOUND CONTROL: Use the Volume, Balance, Bass and Treble Controls and fill the room with the2 x 40 watt speakers for an optimal listening experience. The GPO Brooklyn Boombox features an integrated rechargeable battery, which allows the unit to be used anywhere, providing you with music on the go.GPO are specialists in bespoke manufacturing projects to meet specific needs to classic, yet contemporary retro inspired consumer goods. Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers.

It sorta has a hollow feel to it but with understanding that todays tech does not require as much space as it once did. Also some of the boom boxes from the 70s and 80’s era had metal support brackets that held these boards in place. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered.

It may be hard to believe in our modern, mobile world, but there was once a time when taking your tunes with you on the go was quite the feat. If you believe you are missing one of these pieces, please re-check the pack- aging, as they sometimes become lodged in the polystyrene. At first I thought it was perhaps a little too thin but after comparing it to a friends boombox that is from the early 80’s they feel somewhat the same. The outer main shell that has a smooth grey surface in some areas and a typical 80’s style texture design in others.I would of changed the tweeter trim personally and reduced their prominence for a more classic look or placed them directly above the woofers ala DJ Tech. With all the input sources you can think of, and a fun design that’ll make it a talking point wherever it goes, all that’s lacking is a bit of bass oomph and mid-range clarity. I would change the tweeter look if i could and change some of the flimsier buttons but thats mainly it. The Bluetooth functionality of this player ties you into the digital age while still retaining the classic, analog feel. As the battery is likely to have discharged during transport, you need to start with mains power, so plug the DC end into the rear of the Brooklyn, fix the plug into the mains socket and switch on at the wall.
