The instructions of the lamp was clear and I find it helpful, I knew what to expect and how should I plan using the lamp and what should I be alerted to such as potential headaches from exposure at the beginning of using it. The Beurer TL 30 Daylight Therapy Lamp is a portable and lightweight lamp (it even comes with its own travel bag) that gives out even illumination light intensity at approx. If the Beurer TL30 doesn’t sound like the right product for you, then these alternative options may be a better fit.

Light therapy is believed to be effective in over 85% of cases, so the Beurer Daylight Lamp TL30 is a great solution for those suffering with symptoms during the colder months. I just sit in front of it on a grey day for a minimum of 20 mins and I can feel the chemical shift in my brain. At this moment the lamp works if is connected to power and it limits locations that it can be used in.Daylight plays a key role in our mood and sense of wellbeing; don't get enough and you can be left feeling low and lethargic.

The only thing that I thought would be useful, but I am not sure how feasible it is in terms of design, is cordless design. As there is only one button to turn the device on and one charging port at the back, it’s incredibly easy to set up, and there are instructions to follow to do so. We found the brightness too much to sit close to it in this way, but placing it to the side and across the room felt more comfortable. It is easy to use, you can just switch it on and forget its there whilst you are reading on working on the computer etc.Having some, or even all, of the above symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean you suffer with SAD, but there is help available in the form of daylight therapy lamps and we have been trying out the Beurer TL 30 that uses LED light technology to simulate daylight and help to alleviate some of those symptoms. Due to the low lux value and the increased red content, conventional electric lamps are therefore not sufficient to have a medical effect. If our body receives too little light, the hormone balance between melatonin and serotonin is disturbed. I have used it for a couple of weeks now while I busy on my phone or reading and it really lifts my mood especially after a few days of use even in this dreadful weather.
