About this deal

I have used it many many times on various vehicles and currently have a bottle in the engine oil on my 2003 X5 4.

I realise there's no substitute for replacing a faulty or worn seal, however as a 'quick fix', is this stuff any good? In addition I sprayed some of the rubber hoses and seals with ATP 205, Apparently it adds life to it by reconditioning dried hoses and seals (rubber only - no gasket) it is said that will not damage gaskets, but if they are not rubber it will not be of any benefit (stating the obvious). I particularly love the aroma of burning transfer case fluid being blown in my face when I turn on the CC system. Another person, a car mechanic of over 50 years, to whom I also subscribe said, based on his years of experience, that the ATP TP-205 product was the best even though it was somewhat expensive.Through my surprise after putting this additive and just drive for around 2 hour, I can feel that my gear box shifting is like nearly a new gear box which is very smooth. You don't have to drive it for 5 straight hours but I would say that 15 minutes at minimum is reasonable. So after trying it on my gear box I have bought another bottle to pour into my engine as well and now I can really feel that my engine become very smooth with less vibration and much more quiet then before.

I can now shift into reverse gear almost instantly where I have not been able to do so for a long time. My gear box condition was getting bad to worst worst where I can’t engage in forward once a while and constantly unable to engage in reverse gear. All engine oils have a chemistry in their DI package that swells engine seals to a certain percentage according to accepted industry standard tests. You‘re suggesting “preventive maintenance” - but however you choose to label it, you’re trying to fix something that ain’t broke. So I know this was a while back, but I'm wondering what eventually happened with your use of the AT-205? After 2 days of just under driving a total of 4 hours, there was still a sign of leaking but it did not look like oil but rather the APT AT-205 on the ground. Little expensive due to import from US to Spain, but my rubber undersides on car will appreciate it thus saving more money in the long term. Of course, you won't make your friends too happy if you park your dripping British pile in their nice clean driveways.
