The design of the Chant Mini is also a plus point when talking about the speaker, using recycled materials and wood to create something that’s refreshingly different when compared to a sea of plain, plastic, boring Bluetooth speakers. Crafted with exclusive REWIND™ fabric covering, blended bio-plastic, and recyclable aluminum, The Chant Mini balances style and substance equally. The cloth cover also features an inside pocket for the cables on the underside of its lid, and a carabineer that can be attached to three different loops.

It’s crafted from earth-friendly materials including their Rewind fabric, which blends eco-plastic and aluminum housings with natural bamboo detailing. Since the Chant Mini itself isn’t marketed as a waterproof case so I wouldn’t suggest attempting to take it to close to the water with you at the pool.

Coupled with a short micro-USB cable and it’s own carabiner clip so you can attach it to your backpack, or purse, the only thing that I saw missing from the initial packaging had to be the absence of a carrying case. The documentation says it will take up to three hours to charge from dead, but it looks more like only slightly over two. The speaker can get loud—extremely loud—but the sound quality starts to drop off noticeably past the 3/4 mark. I will admit I did enjoy the chime way more than a lot of the strange sounding beeps of other Bluetooth speakers. the speaker delivers a clear audio performance in the mids and highs, but it runs into some trouble when playing tracks with powerful bass content at higher volumes.
