I blind bought this one and I wouldn't say that I regret it but if I had smelled it before, I would probably not have bought it. My mom was rather bemused and she was like, oh you're finally smelling what I've been smelling all along, hun. It was released in 2004 and still holds the title of one of the most original creations of the last decades. A masculine strength combined with a breath of the ocean, L'Eau Majeure D'Issey features an invigorating marine fragrance that opens with crisp notes of bergamot and grapefruit.

I like this one perfect for this Jamaican weather, wondering I should add it to the arsenal, and boy is it HOT out here this summer. The tea note is something to behold, every other notes seem to dance around it to provide you a very smooth and somewhat salty journey. I've been whining recently about generic, uncreative scents saturating the marketplace and you'd think I'd embrace something which evokes such a colourful response in either direction, for beeter or worse. Can't put my finger on what it is but there's a very different edge to this frag which really works and intrigues me to the point I really do find it quite addictive and when wearing it find myself repeatedly sniffing it, enjoying it.

Longevity seem good had it on from 11:00am one pray on my hand and wash hands a few times today and still smelling it 👍. in the drydown there is a prominent woody note with a slight sweetness amd a hint kf freshness from the opening still present.

I'm still undecided on purchasing a full bottle, even though I do wear fragrances for myself first and foremost, I find that perhaps this isn't very versatile and is definitely an acquired taste.Update: What a gem this fragrance is, something about the dry-down is reminiscent of Baccarat Rouge 540. The fragrance now resembled a cleaner, fresher Zara Man Blue Spirit—a strong accord of aldehydes and marines (although I'm not familiar with which exactly these are)—alongside a heavy dose of Amberwood. There's some driftwood from the shore burning in the fire pit and you're sipping black tea with lemon or bergamot.
