The rental car had GPS, so I didn't use a map the whole trip, except for walking within a city center.

Nothing can beat a paper map for spreading it across the hotel bed to examine all of the possibilities for the next day. The main trunk road network reflects the centralising tradition of France: the majority of them leave the gates of Paris. There is also a route planner detailing major routes, ferries and airports and a distance and journey times chart between 50 destinations.It is large scale so is excellent for the roads, but also for touring it includes geographical features and a lot of information for exploring interesting sites. France has now a highways network of nearly 11,100 km, of which about 8,000 km toll across the country.

The maps carry all the usual information found on topographic maps at this scale: peaks, glaciers, passes, names of mountain ranges and other geographical features, railways with stations, funiculars, ski and chair lifts, administrative boundaries, etc. Our focus is to produce clear, up-to-date, and informative map products to enable you to find the information you need quickly and easily. For France I really like the AA Big Easy Read atlas - at 1:190k I think its the largest scale one around. Also provided are town centre maps of main cities, indicating principal traffic arteries, one way streets and places of interest. Michelin mapping is great if you require detailed information to allow you to make an informed choice while navigating your route.Once the information is in Sage Pay's systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government.
