About this deal

It's left me with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, and I don't often find that with non-fiction books - normally if they annoy me I just shrug and move on to the next title, pushing the irritating one to the back of my mind, but I'm struggling to do that in this case. With regards to the actual subjects covered in Clarkson's letters, if you can think of it, she's probably written about it! It did take me a while to get through this, mostly because the chapters are pretty much self-contained, and it's easy to find stopping points.

If you want advice, we may be able to give you contact details for organisations that specialise in helping with specific problems and situations. By the end of the book, I can guarantee you'll want to encourage the world to act on these suggestions even if, like me, your interest in the feminist movement is a relatively recent development. My major problem with this book is that I didn't realise it was written by Jeremy Clarkson's daughter until I was already a good few letters in.I am desperate to sort out my current emergency tax code and this is becoming increasingly frustrating with no seemingly other way to get help from HMRC. She unpicks the validity of notions such as ‘the thigh gap’; questions the quotidian scrutiny by the media; ponders the etymology of the term ‘plus size’ and considers our unshakeable obsession with dieting, while wondering why some of us are still crying in changing rooms. Remember I am speaking from my own particularly perspective, where I am, and you from yours, where you are. It’s where we could benefit from a simple way of marking a post or to guage how mainstream any point of view is.

Said underlying message is, of course, centred around feminism, and the fact women in today's society are still not truly equal to their male counterparts, in areas ranging from the fact they are often paid less, to the fact they are expected to spend twice as long on personal grooming.I’m guessing you have taken an offer for Entertainment or Cinema, and Now snuck in a ‘helpful’ trial of Boost on the offer you signed up to, via a preticked box. In general, though, this book is about self-empowerment (particularly for women) and being honest about circumstances that continue to keep women from fully becoming themselves.
