About this deal

The ME-70 gives you most of Boss's popular effects, plus quality amp modeling, and a wah pedal with decent sound quality.

A subsection has settings that do a creditable job of making your single coils sound more like humbuckers and vice versa, and also contains an effect labeled Solo that is optimized for driving an amplifier preamp or a distortion pedal. The Boss ME-70 is a guitar effect pedal with dedicated knobs for each parameter that allows you to get the perfect effect or series of effects easily and quickly. However, the ME-70 now splits some of those tone options off to the new Preamp section, which makes sense since some of the OD/DS choices on the ME-50 were amp-specific distortions.

You can tell whether a page is secure as 'https' will replace the 'http' at the front of the kennysmusic.I think the initial clunk to get the pedal working (activate) is heavy and requires sometimes 2 thumps to bring it to life, that said when you get over this minor hurdle (I have a weak leg from a motorcycle accident) it performs admirably. Then the OD/Dist pedal, Modulation (chorus flanger etc) and delay do exactly what those pedals should. The ME-70’s Preamp section provides the common classic amp simulations, including Twin-ish Clean, Vox-like Combo, Bassman-based Tweed, ’70s Marshall voiced Stack, high-gain Lead Stack, and Boogie inspired R-Fier.

When I first got my Helix I could not get a decent sound out of it to save my life, and of course I was shouting to the world that "I paid the GNP of a small country for this thing that's supposed to be amazing, why does it sound like ****? The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. As with its predecessor, the ME-50, what you get with the ME-70 is a stripped down offering of some of the essential Boss effects, in an easy to use, wallet-friendly package.

The ME70 was designed to go in front of a guitar amp which is the opposite of most multi fx/modeling boards out today. I feel like theres a ton of features in it and I'm still struggling to switch from clean to crunch and also finding it tough to find the tones I'm looking for.

The idea here is to use the factory patches as starting points for a sound you like, and then save it as a user patch without losing the original. It turned out to be a case of when and when not to utilize amp and speaker emulations, and what types of speakers to use in each case. We'd be more concerned about the lack of bank up/down footswitches: if you want to change bank mid-performance, you either have to bend down to push a button or use an external footswitch. As you probably know I'm a huge fan of the ME-50, and I really wanted to like the ME-70 as much because it's a bit more powerful and flexible - in particular, because it does have the COSM amps, which like you I don't like, but would give the option of a better DI sound than the ME-50's - which is passable in an emergency, or to add a bit of stereo delay through the PA with the main signal still going to the amp, but you wouldn't want to use it for your main sound on purpose. We do soul/funk to middle of the road rock and some heavier rock as well and I get every sound I want. It's nice to be able to mix and match amps and pedals, and this really opens up the choice of overdriven sounds; although the Marshall and Boogie amp models are particularly suited to this sort of thing, we found some great tones by adding distortion to the clean amp model. I'm not going to dish out hundreds of dollars on a flanger when I might use it a handful of times - instead I just grab my ME-70. Pre-Owned Status: Please note, due to some previous use this item has been given our 'Pre-Owned' status - meaning that we've checked it over and ensured it's in full working condition - complete with a 3 Month PMT Warranty to ensure you're satisfied with the condition. In Memory mode, the foot switches select 4 different patches per bank, and there are 9 banks, so 36 saved patches.
