idk how to feel about the drama during the second half bc it felt cliche (with the revelation that Creighton was Richard Green's son and, although that wasn't really the reason Creighton acted indifferent towards Annika, i still wished it was one of those situations where their dynamic was consistent all throughout the book rather than falling apart for a bit after the revelation). I'm not coming back to RK's peaceful harbor for good writing, original characters or plausible plot twists. Rina Kent’s ability to explore the complexities of pain and its impact on the human psyche sets this novel apart. I’m just now hungover and I’m gonna spend a least a week wallowing and thinking about this amazing story!Why is it so in my fashion to be the one crying the loudest about the all lucky arc readers out there who had got their hands on this book first and also to eventually wind up being the last person to actually read the book? The heroine: Annika Volkov – she is the daughter of Adrian Volkov and Lia Morelli and was born into the Bratva mafia. I had high expectations for God of Pain, and I'm not trying to be a bitch, but Rina pretty please stop writing. Three, how it’ll be a bad idea if you one day have to choose and you pick your brother and leave my brother behind.
