About this deal

Mike: While many GSC units will still be exceptional in the new edition, I can’t wait to put more work into the Kelermorph . Already a strong unit, a critical new change to the game’s Coherency rules will make them amazing once again in combination with the Lying in Wait Stratagem. Spinning his Liberator Autostubs with supernatural dexterity, the Kelermorph fills his enemies with bullets, mowing down scores of soldiers in moments. When faced with armoured foes or war vehicles, the gunslinger simply spins the chambers of his pistols and calmly fires once more -- in moments the target explodes in a hail of metal. A Kelermorph can wield many weapons at once, including his three signature Liberator Autostub pistols. If every model in an INFANTRY unit is on or in an Area Terrain feature with this trait, then it can either Hold Steady or it can Set to Defend (see below) when an enemy unit declares a charge against it.

Force Blast: This power is the “Oh Shit” button of Wyrd Powers. It will push enemy fighters away from the Adept, but it doesn’t automatically pin or damage them. Potential utility exists if the Adept already has Zealot and needs an out when threatened, but on its own, this one kinda blows (get it?!). Rating: D The Kelermorph is a late refinement of the third generation cycle of Genestealer Hybrids, produced from the finest genetic strains of the local populace. They are gifted with hyper-sensory powers that allow them to perceive the world around them in acute detail and rapid-firing neurons allow them to react with supernatural speed. They are also possessed with enhanced pheromonal senses and thermoceptive vision that allows for pinpoint marksmanship even in pitch darkness. These creatures are in essence bio-crafted to be the heroic face of their cult and indicate a Patriarch's growing mastery of human psyche. [2] Ending the game with Ghyrson should come as a surprise. Avoid dropping your hand of instants and sorceries until you need to. Save your Grapeshot for a turn you can combine it with Gelectrode. It’s worth infinitely more than a few potshot bolts here and there throughout the turn.To manifest the psychic power, you must first pass a Psychic test. The opposing player can then select one of their PSYKER units that is within 24" of the PSYKER unit attempting to manifest the power and attempt to deny that power before its effects are resolved by passing a Deny the Witch test. Infinite Combos: [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]]/[[Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind]] + [[Curiosity]]/[[Ophidian Eye]] Most of my removal of course is creature based or just by countering problems, but I do have [[Chaos Warp]], [[Smash to Dust]], [[Otawara, Soaring City]] And that's it. The Starborn Souls are done**, really done**. Feels weird! What about you? Do you ever feel like you "finish" a project? Or are you how I normally am, finish scaling a peak only to see more mountain ahead of you full of exciting variant projects? Seriously, I'm still planning stuff for my Blood Angels after 7000 points. I've got problems man... Until next time, lovely people. Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph was released as one of the Warhammer 40k commanders, and it’s based on a named character from that universe. He’s a specialist amongst the Genestealer Cults, the alien-worshiping mutant saboteurs bent on preparing their host worlds for devourment by the Tyranids. Ghyrson’s mutations have given him three arms, perfect for dealing three damage whereas another would only deal one.

Visiting the Doc via a medical escort costs 3d6x10 rather than 2d6x10 because they have to pay off the Doc to stay silent. Set up one model from that unit within 1" of the centre of that ambush marker, wholly within your deployment zone and more than 9" away from any enemy models. Then remove that ambush marker.

Wrap Up

Hypnosis: Short range, but the ability to steal an enemy fighter’s turn is very powerful. Target leaders, champs, and brutes and the Adept will pay dividends in no time! Rating: B+ In reality the Kelermorph is something else entirely: a bioform created for the specific purpose of exploiting mortal psychology, a cold-blooded killer in the guise of a legendary gunfighter whose actions inspire generations of sedition and revolution.

Grenade Launcher (Frag & Krak Ammo): We love Grenade Launchers here at Necromunday, and when combined with a gang that has access to Cunning skills, they’re stupid good. Rating: A Other card draw is inclusive of [[Rhystic Study]], [[Curiosity]], [[Mystic Remora]], [[Ophidian Eye]] Domination (Battlefield Supremacy): Pretty self explanatory here – you have lots of small troop units that can trade on to an objective to secure it at the end of your turn. These creatures are bio-crafted to be the heroic face of their cult -- their influence upon a fractured society is a terrifying sign of the Genestealer Patriarch's growing mastery of the Human psyche and ability to manipulate mass psychology.

Key Units

You need your commander on the field on turn 3 or 4. Its ward 2 ability will keep it safe, at least for a few turns, and it should arrive to a field of two or three pingers. Casting Ghyrson at the top of the turn lets you immediately bolt each opponent or delete an early threat. Recovering from a board wipe with Ghyrson is tough, and you’ll want to save your Counterspells and the like exclusively for stuff that messes with your board. The only massive outlier is the Primus – unfortunately the fact that his equipment previously cost 3 ends up disastrous for him, because his base cost is increased to 80 and then 2pts added to the sword as well, for a total increase of 10pts on a unit that could comfortably have only gotten 5. He retains a powerful aura effect, but might see a slight drop in utilisation because of it. Incendiary Charges: Maybe a happy middle ground between the range of frags and the effectiveness of blasting charges? Rating: B Gunfighter (Shooting): A Cult Alpha can fire 3 pistols at once, so why not make them really good at firing all those pistols? A must-have if you’re going with the Kelermorph strategy.
