LOTTIE WAS ENTERTAINING but her characterization was a bit confusing. She was a self-characterized "doormat", but I actually found her to be incredibly confrontational, especially when it came to Huxley. So it was harder to understand her.

They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story. Let me just appreciate some sweet and romantic moments too. These two have exactly the kind of relationship I want. Someone you can be completely comfortable and yourself around. But also someone who respects you and take interest in your interests, and remembers those interests! This book has some outrageous antics, the pregnancy classes they attend were hysterical, and I really felt that all the loose ends in the book were tied up by the end. I absolutely love the cover, it is so vibrant and, well cute. This was really fun and definitely had some 'need a cold shower' moments. They went on some interesting outings with another pregnant couple that had me rolling. There were plenty of laugh out loud moments, great secondary characters with Lottie's sister and Huxley's brothers leaving me wanting more of this new world Meghan is crafting. The situation Lottie and Huxley found themselves in while trying to fake a pregnancy had me in stitches, then there were beautiful moments where these two characters broke down each others walls and connected. Weird to directly agree with, but it's not the first time I've seen this description, and I've never penned it about myself. I'll let this one slide. The crazy antics they get involved in while trying to pull off their ruse had me laughing out loud. The ribbing Huxley receives from his brothers is also entertaining. I really hope they get their own books. I could see JP hooking up with Lottie’s sister, Kelsey. Life isn't always pretty as a picture. Sometimes it's dark and ugly, so twisted that the only way to survive is to fall in love with a monster. Of course, I'm aware of the rumblings in the writing community about how authors can use AI to write entire books, and this could be the thing that makes anyone a writer. Not so fast … we're nowhere near that.I have only driven through Louisiana at most, that I remember. I'm an absolute East Coaster from New Jersey and spent most of my life on the same coast. I did develop a love of reading at a young age from my grandmother's Harlequin collection. The rest? i know it sounds so unrealistic and ridiculous, but if you read the book with no expectations of it being a huge masterpiece, you will enjoy every second of it, because both lottie and hux was incredibly entertaining characters.
