About this deal

This adapter allows Mamiya 645 lenses to attach to a Sony E-Mount camera body. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or “sweet spot” of the larger lens’ image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance. Ok. The reason why i mention this was more specifically the AF-C experience on Sony VS Fujifilm. That was my main concern, understood output is priority but wasn’t sure if you need af-c as well. Once again, I really appreciate your concern regarding the flip-flopping. I was thinking about this for a week. But the bad quality slow-motion footage on Sony really looms disappointment in me that I cannot bear myself not to switch to another system The LA-EA5 combines a compact design, featuring an aperture drive unit and a newly developed compact AF drive unit. To ensure comfortable operation when used on an E-mount camera body, the new adaptor’s diameter matches that of the A-mount, perfectly aligning with the edges of the mount. The LA-EA5 allows easy operation on full-frame E-mount bodies, even when a vertical grip is attached to the camera body. Pricing and Availability

The "DN" lenses and Lumix S / S PRO lenses are focus-by-wire. The "HSM" (SLR-based design) lenses should all focus mechanically, except for the macro. Aperture may remain wide-open, or possibly be able to be changed on an L-mount camera then transferred to the adaptor. ND-based exposure may be required in some conditions. This Canon EF and EF-S adapter features a built-in 10-stop variable neutral density filter to control the amount of light entering the camera. An ND filter enables shooting in bright daylight while still using wide apertures for shallow depth of field. It also helps with fast exposure adjustments when going from bright to low light. A bright blue metal ring manually adjusts the filter from ND2-ND1000 (2-stop to 10-stop) which is a very cool feature for filmmakers and still photographers who want to shoot wide open in bright light. As for weather sealing not that I know of, although mine fix very very snug on my Sigma FP's and when I owned a Panasonic they fit very snug. They also work excellent on my Leica's. They are so snug I doubt water could get in.Sony’s LA-EA3 lens adapter transmits the lens data to the camera to control aperture on Sony A7/A7R/A7S cameras. With non-SSM lenses this adapter will be MF only. The LA-EA3 is and ideal choice for architecture, landscapes or any application where fast lighting focus isn’t needed but you wish to capture the highest possible resolution. New Adaptor Enables Advanced Autofocus Capabilities When Attaching A-mount Lenses to Latest E-mount Bodies Urth" - I have never heard of them, but I have been buying "RJ" adapters ex-China for years and probably few have ever heard of them as they are a big company and they are usually sold unbranded. v. Maximum continuous shooting speed is 10 fps with the Alpha 7R IV, Alpha 9, and Alpha 9 II, and 11 fps with the Alpha 6600. Continuous shooting speed may change depending on the attached lens.

The flange focal distance (FFD) Fujifilm X-mount is 17.7mm, the one for Sony-E-Mount is 18mm (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flange_focal_distance). To get proper focusing, an adapter would have to be 0.3mm thin (0.0118 inch). If you had an adapter that's adding more than 0.3mm, it would basically act like a macro extension tube. This adapter allows you to attach a Contax G lens to a Sony E camera body. Focusing is done using a focus dial and internal focus pin. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance with a leaf spring mechanism for ‘No Play’ fit.Vello Leica M Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Adapter is a durable budget-priced alternative that allows you to attach a Leica M mount lens to a Sony E-mount (NEX or full-frame) camera body. The all-metal adapter is designed to fit the lens securely, yet can still be removed easily when not needed. Fotodiox notes continuous AF and video AF aren't currently supported due to 'unsatisfactory' performance, but other autofocus modes should work with minimal issues. It's also pointed out that some third party lenses, such as those from Sigma and Tamron might struggle with autofocus a bit more than first-party lenses. So, it looks like there might be more to this than just going the custom route and paying a CNC shop to turn one out for you (not that that is simple). Here’s an alphabetical round-up of lens adapters for Sony E-Mount cameras including Sony a7, a7R, a7S, a7II, a7RII, a7SII, a6300, a6000, a5100, a5000 and NEX still and video cameras along with links to retailers who I use and trust:

This adapter mounts Leica M39 LTM screw mount lens to Sony E-Mount cameras. There is no ROM connection on the ring so diaphragm control of the lens is set manually. The adapter does not transfer functions from the camera to the lens, such as auto focus, but automatic exposure metering (stop-down metering/aperture priority) is possible. However, I am wondering how will E-mount lenses perform on Fuji X system? I do understand the vignetting issues if you use the E-mount APS-C on FE-mount of Sony full-frame camera, plus sharpness decrease. What issues would I have if I use it on APS-C, but the camera is Fuji instead?

T-Mount to Sony E-Mount Lens Adapters

I tested a wide array of lens mount adapters while writing ‘ Sony A7/A7R: From Snapshots to Great Shots‘ and compiling my Guide to Sony a7/a7R/a7S/a7II/a7RII Lens Mount Adapters. These third-party lens adapter manufacturers have worked closely with Sony:

vi. The Alpha 7R IV must be updated to software V1.20 or later, and the Alpha 6600 must be updated to software V1.10 or later. This Novoflex adapter allows you to mount a M 42 lens to Sony E-Mount cameras with a precision mechanical adapter. The adapter does not transfer functions from the camera to the lens, such as auto focus, but automatic exposure metering (stop-down metering/aperture priority) is possible.I think it is my mistake not to consider other brands that cause me to be not satisfied with the current one I have (more like because of jumping on hype train). Sony a6400 is a great camera but I need the great slow motion footage without losing that much of details (at least 60fps is enough for me). And after having like 3-4 sessions, I also think that I do not really need the strong feature Sony a6400, that is the unlimited recording time, because I only shoot 15 mins max for a single take. So the 30 minutes recording limit on Fuji is fine by me. Fortunately, if I sell all the lenses with the Sony a6400 it can still cover the X-T4 body with a Viltrox 23mm f1.4 lens. Note:• • This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted. This Adapter for Sony E Mount Camera and SC Nikon/Canon Lens from Voigtlander allows you to attach Nikon or Contax SC-mount rangefinder lenses to a Sony E-mount cameras. This adapter is for Nikon S Rangefinder or Zeiss Contax Rangefinder lenses WITH focusing helicals – not for modern Nikon lenses or Contax G lenses. This Fotodiox adapter allows you to attach a Rollei 35mm lens to Sony E-Mount cameras. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.
