I really don't know where the wood is in this new She Wood version, to me it smells totally fruity floral. A sheer, floral-oriental fragrance, it opens with a bright burst of citrus and a dangerous hint of black pepper. The top notes incorporate lemon, neroli and jasmine, the heart hides violet, heliotrope and musk, while the base is composed of cedar, vetiver and amber. Wood Pour Femme is a contemporary and vibrant composition with Sicilian mandarin and raspberry leaf expressing joy and vivacity, combined with lily of the valley and magnolia which add fresh, ethereal notes. I expected better, this is a strong fruity floral, and yes very much like a shampoo, a nice one, for me, not crazy about it.It is also similarly poorly marketed as a some kind of softwood scent, when it is an obvious homage to a walk through an orchard. The olfactory evolution immediately becomes floral, a spring garden, an absolute triumph of magnolia and rose. I will have to agree with most of the reviews, I LOVE Bombshell (original), and this smells just like it. The closest fragrance in my collection which has a similar vibe to this perfume is Versace Bright Crystal EDT which I think is better in terms of scent profile, sillage and longevity. There's a vague shampoo vibe in the background that tilts the whole concoction slightly pink, but this isn't a rose fragrance, and IMHO a soft peachy-pink juice colour would more accurately describe the juice or some orange in the magnetic cap.
