About this deal

I was heartbroken when I read he died alone in a hotel room in poverty due to crooks like Edison and Westinghouse. Kudos to LibriVox for including all fourteen (not just six) of the Tesla and Tesla related articles which were published in "Electrical Experimenter" between Feb. My Inventions: The Autobiography of Nikola Tesla is a book compiled and edited by Ben Johnston detailing the work of Nikola Tesla.

Tesla started working in the telephony and electrical fields before emigrating to the United States in 1884 to work for Thomas Edison. Notable mentions: electromotive power in units of horses, the beginnings of a beatle powered society thwarted, the coming power of wireless communication to remove all distances between man, the inventor of wireless communication is skeptical of Maxwell and cannot reproduce Hertz's experiments. In 1882 Tesla went to work in Paris for the Continental Edison Company, and, while on assignment to Strassburg in 1883, he constructed, after work hours, his first induction motor. Still, for someone who single-handed invented our entire AC power grid and succeeded in promoting it over the objections of Edison, he was a genius of the sort that the world seldom sees. His work and reputed inventions are also at the center of many conspiracy theories and have also been used to support various pseudosciences, UFO theories and New Age occultism. Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) was a genius inventor, engineer, physicist, and futurist best known for designing of AC electricity supply system.

Im Nachwort zu „Die letzten Tage der Nacht“ von Graham Moore erwähnte der Autor, welche Lektüre er für seine Recherche verwendet hat und welche Titel er interessierten Lesern empfiehlt. This rare window into the industrial age's most tragic genius will fascinate historians, scientists, aspiring inventors, and curious fans alike. If you haven't heard of him before, you will never forget him after reading this collection of his writings, inventions, thoughts and process. Nowadays, we're mostly familiar with the Tesla basics - archetypal mad scientist, ripped off by the charlatans Edison and Marconi, and A Bit Odd. He made it extremely clear though, that he understood full well that the visions of people and things were not real.

His ideas were brilliant and innovative, and there were probably very few people he could discuss them with. B. bereits damals von Drohnen und kabellosen Telefonen, wobei das Telefon eben erst erfunden worden ist. An engaging read, giving you insight into the legendary inventor Nikola Tesla as you are taken through a multitude of points in the genuis’ life, going over his inventions, personal life, relationships with other notable figures of the era, and ruminations on philosophy and visionary futures, all compact and distilled from the Man, the Myth, the Legend himself. Tesla was considered a "maverick" (today he would simply be labeled a "moron") because he was a real scientist who depended on empirical evidence through experimentation and observation with subsequent objective proof.

Tesla was famous for inventing alternating current (AC), which is used in every house and electric motor today. In 1960, in honor of Tesla, the General Conference on Weights and Measures for the International System of Units dedicated the term 'tesla' to the SI unit measure for magnetic field strength.Training for an engineering career, he attended the Technical University at Graz, Austria, and the University of Prague. Tesla has always been an inspiration for me from my childhood, particularly after getting to know his discovery of the Rotating Magnetic Field. In one of his essays he goes on and on about producing a machine to fight our wars, a machine that possesses intelligence, a machine with the ability to make decisions, and think. His patented AC induction motor and transformer were licensed by George Westinghouse, who also hired Tesla as a consultant to help develop an alternating current system.
