About this deal

com has officially unveiled the LEGO Lord of the Rings Brickheadz, and we now have confirmed pricing and release dates! Here’s a look at Gandalf’s back, where he has a grey cloak, and more of that incredible hair texture, as well as a pointy wizard hat. They are built using LEGO bricks in a standardized scale and form, with a distinctive squared-off design, large eyes, and a compact, displayable size. Heads up for those in the US, UK and EU - today is your final day to score 2x Insider Points on all purchases! I also really like how its mouth is constructed – the technique used to give it a sense of depth, and the use of yellow and orange parts on the inside work remarkably well for for a proper 3D effect.

Found on the LEGO Pick-a-Brick page, the sets will be released on January 1 and they feature most of the main characters from the saga. One is a symbol of a halfling warped by the ring’s influence, while the other is the hope that the halflings offer the world of Middle Earth.

The obvious answer is that the mould is no longer in service, and the element has been officially retired from production.

Here’s hoping these do really well and send a signal to LEGO that we do really want more LEGO Lord of the Rings. If Frodo and Gandalf BrickHeadz are coming next year in January I wonder if the LEGO design team used on their versions any of these parts in these new colors. for 6 brickheads is too much, but hopefully if we support this wave of sets it sends a message that this theme is much missed. I think Aragorn and Arwen and Gandalf and the Balrog look great, but they got Frodo’s hair completely wrong and it looks terrible! Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. Smeagol was then tricked by Frodo’s cousin, Bilbo Baggins in a game of Riddles in the Dark, and then held on to the One Ring for XXX years, before handing it over to Frodo at his one hundred and eleventy first birthday.

She does have a printed tile on her forehead to give her tiara some much-needed bling, but overall, this was a less-than-exciting character to build. The Balrog in particular was an absolute blast to build, and the completed model is terrifyingly large, and opens up possibilities of larger Brickheadz, which I hope to see soon. Across the three main Lord of the Rings films, we meet many characters but it’s essentially the story of Frodo. For pairings, it makes sense, and I also like that we get coronation versions of both characters, which we’ve not gotten before in LEGO sets, which give it a bit of a fresh take on both characters. The LEGO Group does not accept any responsibility for unforeseen and/or adverse consequences following from the modification/customization. However, apart from some of Arwen’s hair falling over her shoulders and a tiara built into her hair, she is surprisingly plain.

BrickHeadz has been particularly popular among adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) and collectors due to their display-friendly nature, the wide range of characters, and the unique, recognizable style. Melding LEGO and Technic in the most ingenious ways, the build is especially challenging but rewarding, especially when you see the functions in action! The eyes are not possible due to the requirement to use Brickheadz eyes, so they really should’ve included a mouth tile. While I appreciate the effort to diversify the offerings of each set, I would probably put Sam, Frodo, And Bill (excellent pony by the way) together, then Merry, Pippin, and Boromir, and then either pairs of Aragorn with Gandalf and Gimli with Legolas, or just those four all together. I must confess I was always more of a CubeDude fan, and this was my first time getting into the BrickHeadz scale.

The setting would lend itself perfectly to the entire Fellowship of the Ring, along with the likes of Elrond, Arwen and Bilbo Baggins. These BrickHeadz sets feature stylized, blocky representations of popular characters such as Gandalf the Grey, Frodo, Gollum and Balrog.
