A lot of people find Cozy Mysteries a mystery in itself. I get a lot of questions on why I read cozy mysteries. Well, I will tell you why. There's no gore, nothing that is going to stain your brain that you can't wash off again, and there is always a happy ending. The bad guy always gets caught and the world is made safe again. How can anyone not like that? Choco’s owner, Brad Fairway, is pulling sneaky stunts to divert Moose patrons to his own shop, and Ellie finally confronts him about his tactics. But when Brad is found dead next day—and the weapon is a gun that belongs to Ellie—it’s only a matter of time before she is charged with the crime. A chocolatey murder mystery for a large group with a central cast of 8 characters set at a new product launch party. Great for Valentine’s Day.Amie Wallace played DCI Abbott, who investigates the murder and directs proceedings in the latter part of the play. She came across as confident, knowing and efficient. The game ends with accusations where each character says who they think the killer or killers were before the video tells us what really happened. Not everyone guessed correctly, but by the end, the majority of us were able to put the pieces together about who we thought could have done it and why. Lesley Gunn is allowed to live in Cambridgeshire by her two cats. She is old enough to know better. A chocolatey murder mystery for 8 to 12 players set at a new product launch party. I keep waiting for the dashing Jonah to put a ring on it. After all, as Addie's aunties are still constantly reminding her, her eggs aren't getting any younger. But first, the stalker has returned and someone from her past will come to her rescue a second time. Her newest nightmare could mean the end of her world. When a French chef turns up dead, there's whole slew of people who might have done it. Addie, Jonah and Grey must solve another murder. And in the end they hope to narrow down the suspects that could possibly be her stalker before it's too late. And Grey, I love him. I wish I had him as a best friend or even as a brother or a cousin. The way that he and Addie look out for each other is so endearing. It wraps my heart up in a big bundle of warmth and happiness and I just want to stay there. CHOCOLAT' BERTRAND - The greatest legend of the Belgian chocolate industry, he is known as much for his ruthless business practices as for his suave bonhomie.Death by Chocolate is a murder mystery play written by Lesley Gunn, and tells of the murder of the owner of a chocolate factory. As per the usual format of murder-mystery evenings, the audience are fed clues throughout the play, often designed to confuse, and at the interval the cast mingle with the audience and answer their questions. An all-knowing inspector of police supervises the investigation, and at the conclusion the audience are invited to name the murderer or murderers. The producer, Marc Skinner has the discretion to alter the ending slightly each evening so that subsequent audiences don’t already know the answer. Following a stage performance in pantomime as a six foot six inch robot wearing a Darth Vader mask, she turned to writing for the stage instead of having to be on it. Mystery parties are a lot of fun. If you have been invited to a mystery for the first time, you’re in for a real treat. How to play a murder mystery game at a party

The lighting and sound were efficient and well-managed, and I appreciated the incidental music which was all chocolate-themed. Thank you, particularly for introducing me to the very funny Chocolate Song by Marcus Turner, which installed itself as an earworm on my drive home. Book 5 in the Addie Foster Mysteries, and incidentally well earned 5 stars to match its place in line. I have been following this series from the beginning even though mysteries usually aren't my thing. I love this series and this installment did not disappoint. Guess it helps I love chocolate to no end. Everyone with a role needs to totally commit to coming (aka, no notoriously flaky friends!) and preparing their part to get the best experience You'll need to focus and keep in mind certain details about your characters (like age) that could be missed and may matter to the plot

MIKE BISON - The rising star of American boxing, he's in Paris for the Olympic Games, where he'e sure he'll win a gold medal.

I hope that there will be at least one mystery in the series to tie up the few loose ends, even if its a novella. I want to know if Robert Martin is who Addie thinks he is. I also would love to see Addie and Jonah finally get their happy ever after. DR SIGMUND FRAUD - The controversial psychologist whose theories have won him a small band of devoted disciples and the hatred of conventional society.LITTLE FITZ - The most sensational cabaret star of the day, he shares his ventriloquist act with his dummy Ziggy. MARCHIONESS DUCHAMP - An internationally notorious artist, whose work has scanalised two continents, and whose private life has done much the same. The suspects all had chocolate-related names. Rachel Munns played Lin D’Or, a Swiss chocolatier with a hard shell, never dropping her accent once. Michelle Marshall played Jelly Bean, the company secretary, as a put-upon, reliable, lovable woman, who turned out to have some dark secrets. Sarah Kendall as Dolly Mixtures played the apparent airhead blonde who has seduced the victim and is the beneficiary of his will. Is she the murderer? Parma Violet, sweet and innocent in appearance, was played well by Chloe Gleadhill; and the union representative and jobsworth, Cherry Pips, clutched her rule book and kept us all amused. The final suspect was Toby Le Rone, Lin D’Or’s rival chocolatier, played as a nonchalant Glaswegian by Jonathan Ireland. Had the competition between the Scottish and Swiss chocolate masters resulted in the murder of their employer? DR. DORIS JOHNSON - An amateur archaeologist specialializing in the Aztec culture, she is regarded as being eccentric even in a field populated by eccentrices. Her family dynamic is great. Her two great aunties are fantabulous! Spunky and outspoken and so loving. Reminds me of some of my family that has passed away. God help me but I truly love women who are like that. Strong, brave, yes even a bit mouthy. You get nowhere in life being silent. How can anyone possibly be satisfied with others making choices and decisions for them?
