About this deal

I’m in my mid to late 20’s, so definitely still fitting in the demographic for her frags, however, I’ve outgrown the cupcake sweet of the Fantasy’s. This is like the 'young' version of Nest Wisteria Blue- If you took Wisteria Blue and added 2 cups of sugar to it! Longevity and sillage are both a low moderate on me wich it great so the tuberose isn’t headache inducing for me. From a 45yo who is late to many parties (and surely enjoys them, look at my Fragrantica), this is the same scent of hair sprays of 30 year ago. popular more current perfumes, such as Daisy, Alien, etc (none of which I find anywhere near as likeable as Curious - in fact, some are downright awful, like Alien!

I might have been more drawn to this, except for that it was so ahead of its time in 2004, I'm weary of this profile. I don’t believe this scent withstood the test of time, as we wear more edible fragrances these days it seems. I remembered liking it when testing it years ago, but it has a heavy, screechy magnolia, and I remember Curious being so much better. Of all my perfumes, Curious is the only one where I’ve completely used up several bottles of it and repurchased again and again.this one was really shampooey to me at first, but I let it macerate for a couple weeks and the vanilla and sandalwood really came thru. Clean, feminine, a little soapy, slightly old-fashioned like a crisp cotton fit-and-flare dress…but with a sweetheart neckline.

You feel like you can’t smell much of anything when you first spray this on, and the lasting power is about 3 hours on skin, but I could smell it on clothes 6+. It’s not intensely sweet the way most Britney perfumes are and it has a rather old school perfumey smell about it. An exhilarating white floral accented with Louisiana Magnolia and wrapped in the sensuality of vanilla-infused musk. This is a lightly sweet, fresh floral scent, best for a young audience, but nicer than your average vanilla/floral/sugar bomb celebrity fragrances.I'm sure there's a world of equally wonderful and well-performing cheapies out there, but I'm content with this one.

It’s an aquatic floral that doesn’t rely too much on water Lily or lotus so the florals aren’t watery and the pear is what’s providing the sweet watery vibe. I was really hoping for more of the pear notes, but they only last like 10-20 minutes before they disappear. The pear is there to bring sweetness, but I wouldn't immediately know there's pear in there if I didn't read the notes first.

I quickly went through my first bottle and then bought every kind of special edition that I could find, including one with a beach bag as a gift (that I still use), a fragrance roll-on/lip gloss duo, perfume stick, body lotion, body wash. I will forever love Britney fragrances including this one but sometimes I feel it can be a little juvenile on people 18 and up only because so many teenagers wore this when released. The scent seems to have remained mostly the same, but it is a weaker and more fleeting fragrance than I remember.

It smells like it's supposed to be - nice and clean, inoffensive white floral, which I can finally enjoy!
