About this deal

Will these or any of the other Oxford Hot Grips fit the Kawasaki ER6N 2016?Thanks! September 12, 2017 On a very practical level, these are our first fully silicone grips; this incredible material increases their lifespan by up to 200% without compromising comfort or performance, as well as reducing cable strain and increasing grip levels. HotGrips® Pro offers an additional battery saving mode for lithium batteries, now common on high-performance motorcycles. These Evo Adventure Heaterz are designed as a replacement for the handlebar grips already fitted to the motorcycle. They will fit onto most motorcycles that use 7/8" (22mm) Ø handlebars. Each grip has an open end to allow the bar end weight to be refitted without the need to trim the grip. The standard length of the Evo Adventure Heaterz grip is 5.12" (130mm). Should the length need to be shortened, they can be trimmed to a minimum length of 4.72" (120mm) without damaging the heating elements. External gripØ = 1.35" (34.2mm). I can have a Kawasaki zzrz400 performance sport. What are the best grips for my bike, thanks December 4, 2018

Unfortunately, I was unable to fit the grips to my bars as the throttle grip was extremely tight and only just squeezed on after a lot of twisting. The left-hand one was even tighter and I was unable to fit it. Inside the grips, there are four grooves and while I expect they will be OK to fit to a smooth bar, mine (as have all my previous bikes) are patterned on the end to help the metal grip the rubber. It would take a lot of force, and potentially damaging the grips to get them on. As long as the bars measure 22mm the grips will fit - you will need to find somewhere to mount the control unit. I couldn't get the left grip to sit where I ideally wanted (with the LED light directly facing me) because the heating wire fouled my bike’s cruise control buttons (see photograph in gallery above). The instructions are relatively poor; just a single A4 sheet of paper and these do not explain how to actually fit the grips. If I hadn’t previously fitted several sets I wouldn’t know where to start as most of the information is regarding the four different types of controllers that are available even though only one is included. There are also bullet points describing artificial rubber which hardly helps when it comes to fitment. The controller is the best looking on test with five various heat zones (30%, 40%, 50%, 75% and 100%) and the different settings are achieved with two buttons, one to go up the range and one to go down the range. In terms of warmth, the R&G heated grips had the fifth hottest heat output, measuring 44.7C on our thermometer after four minutes. Compare this with the 49.8C of the Oxford Adventure grips and it’s pretty impressive when you consider the price of these and the fact that if you shop around you can get them far cheaper. Innovative Heat Setting Memory function stores previous heat setting and defaults to this at power-up, saving time when in regular use. Would you choose your grips based on the length of your current factory fitted pair or maybe go a bitlonger/shorter? September 1, 2017 I tested this feature using a multimeter and found they drew no measurable current when the bike battery’s voltage dropped through the engine stopping. They really do only power up when the engine starts, so they shouldn’t have any impact on a healthy bike battery. I was impressed at how easily the wires connected to the battery and each other during the installation process (all being good, chunky connectors). The main wire that had to be routed through my bike’s frame and the fairing was coated in plastic for extra durability.

HotGrips® EVO Adventure are ideal for off road trails and have a waffled finger-grip area for increased control. Before sending the grips to Kai, we tested the current draw using a 12V power supply; keeping in mind that they’ll actually run at a little over 13V while the bike’s running, so the current draw will be a touch higher, we measured 3.29A at full power. O xford Hot Hands are different from the other heated grips on test in that you can easily remove these from the bike when needed. This is because they are wrap-around warmers that simply attach on top of your existing grips. They do however still have an on/off controller and plug into the bike’s battery feed. I can’t say I’m a fan of these type of grips but they definitely do have a market for those that do not want (or like) them to be permanent fitments on their bikes. Heat output is controlled via a dial so that you can control the temperature from a low to a high setting. In use you the controller is big and bulky and it’s not really something I would want on my bike. It’s too large for a simple heat controller and I struggled to find a place to attach it.There are easy-to-install ring connectors to attach the grips to your bike’s battery terminal and the wires are coated in durable plastic which will help prevent damage from extended use. The labelling on the connectors is confusing. There are three connectors coming from the battery loom, and you attach both grips and the controller to these. All connectors are the same size and colour which means in theory you can plug any end to any other end. I have a Harley Davidson street rod 750 with bar end mirrors the OEM grips are approx 115mm would you recommend these or the touring grips? Thanks inadvance April 26, 2018

If your bars are 22mm, these grips will fit. If the bars are 1 inch, the only Oxford grips that will fit are the Cruisergrips. The ends can be trimmed, if you look on the fitting instructions under D - fitting procedure, it shows the trimlengths.
