For a stronger bond I have had really good luck with an epoxy on one part and a bit of super glue on the other, makes the epoxy into an almost instant set. Elmer’s Carpenter’s Wood Glue – It’s great for interior projects, non-toxic, easy to clean up with water, sandable and paintable. You can let the first coat of glue dry completely or just wait a couple minutes and add a bit more glue while the first coat is still a bit tacky.

It starts out plenty sticky, but foams up and cures either with the humidity in the air or mixed with a few drops of water (you will have plenty of working time). These 4 or 5-star reviews represent the opinions of the individuals who posted them and do not reflect the views of Etsy. Yellow glue is advertised as being "specially formulated" for woodworking while white glue is considered more of an "all purpose" glue.I'm no "expert either" but the commonly recognized "advantages" of yellow glues are a shorter "set" time, slightly better moisture resistance, better "gap filling" properties, and a "harder" (therefore more "sandable") glue line. I’m also a math teacher, so I’m competent enough at math to know that white school glue is cheaper than wood glue. If I am building a model that needs plenty of strength and will be painted, I will often use yellow glue.

If you’ve already done that, your item hasn’t arrived, or it’s not as described, you can report that to Etsy by opening a case. Residue will not interfere with finish or stain, dried squeeze out won‘t dull blades as bad, won’t pull out fibers. But as someone who happily uses freebie paint brushes, who made a whole video devoted to proving Harbor Freight clamps aren’t as terrible as everyone says they are, and who is generally considered “cheap,” I am telling you, don’t skimp on your wood glue. They include a proprietary blend of petroleum and natural gas along with other natural elements that are ubiquitous in nature.
